I have Tom to thank for instructing me, a naive Aussie at the time, in the ways of the pint. A Tetley at the Royal Oak is truly the King of Beers.

Tom also gifted me a copy of Debretts in 1996, perhaps hoping I'd learn something, but more likely just enabling him to joke that "it hasn't worked yet" ever since.
