Tom,vivacious, knowledgable, talented, and life and soul of the party.

Just a few of the things you may not know. He started his love of birds as a youngster and he collected and    'blew' wild birds eggs carefully keeping them in cotton wool.Passionate about farming ,he spent most of his     time on the farm, even in bad weather, loving to drive  a DB1 (that is a David Brown )to those who do not know.you can see him in the photo, with his sisters.Tom was a very good shot, learning under the supervision of our father, more or less as soon as he could manage a small 'ladies' rifle ,knocking cans off a wall.He amazingly continued to to be a good shot after he lost the sight in one of his eyes, following a car accident. It was whilst he was in hospital recovering from the accident, that I was introduced to nursing-a career that I had never considered until then.Needless to say,Tom met and charmed a very nice nurse who helped the recovery!Tom  was lucky enough to have a racing cycle and used it to get about locally as well as occasionally cycling to the coast and back,in a day with his school friend.

Always able to make good from adversity, help others in theirs,he was surrounded and loved by his friends and family who will all miss him greatly.

            Goodbye,Tom.
